Vibiemme and limited kitchen space

Recommendations for first time espresso equipment buyers and upgraders.

I recently decided that I wanted to upgrade from the La Pavoni manual that I've had for the past 3 years, to the Vibiemme Domobar Super. The thing's a beast, but I've become smitten with it. the problem lies not in being able to afford it, as I will make certain economic sacrifices in order to have this dream come true. the problem is where to put it. I live in a brooklyn co-op, where the apts. are small, and the kitchens are even smaller. there is no way to make the domobar and my grinder work on the limited counterspace, without having to re-do the entire kitchen. now my focus has moved to possibly putting a cabinet outside the kitchen. the question: is it safe to house an espresso machine that is the size and temp. of the domobar in a cabinet? and if so, how much space should be around it. Short of putting it in the living room area, this is my only hope. if anyone out there might have some ideas, please pass them along. thanks.

How about putting it on a cart/island like the one linked below?

For similar ideas take a look at Birth of an espresso bar. Having a dedicated work space is nice.

Try something like this cart. It has worked out very well for me.
