- It's not a small machine
- It needs a dedicated 20A circuit
- It should have a regulator on its conditioned water supply
- The boiler isn't insulated
- Installing a brew-head thermocouple isn't easy
- My existing Rancilio bottomless PFs might not fit, my LM ones probably won't
Past checking the brew and extraction pressures, and pulling a shot on it (and ensuring each of the volumetric buttons, if so equipped work), what else would be on your "once over" list?
Are there any common failures that are obvious without disassembling the machine?
Once I get one home, are there any components that need to be carefully checked for evidence of failure? Any components or gaskets beyond the group gasket that should "just be changed" as a matter of course?
Thanks!
