Really? I cannot recall reading anything in the forums about overheating Duettos; my quick search of this site and Coffeegeek found no reports. Where did you hear/read about this?

I don't remember which site I saw the reports on, but early owners had issues with the filter and water supply tube melting and restricting flow. I believe that some folks have also talked about wanting extra holes in the side to increase air flow to keep the guts cool and that there has been discussion about the location of the control electronics.

Sorry that I can't point you directly to these, but it was either here or on coffeegeek.

Sounds interesting, I haven't heard about it.

There were these kind of discussions over on the Coffeetime UK forum. But they were just speculations.

Duetto box is very crowded. However it is very similar to Brewtus, a machine with already quite a long track record. I have not heard about any overheating related issues regarding Brewtus (those failing thermostats were a Euro voltage issue quite probably).

Previous Izzo Alex models have had at least small troubles with controllers overheating. Their placement has been improved in Duetto as far as I recall.
