You should be able to locate a used PID'd Silvia in that price range ( I just did). I'm in the market for a decent grinder, but for now, I'm getting by very nicely with my Hario Skerton.

I began with Gaggias then later graduated to a Silvia... Then later to what I have now... I had no complaints with the Gaggia for straight espressos and once you know the machine you can make decent caps. As for hand grinders I have been sold on them for years!
