SCAA WBC barista bar espresso cups

Postby IMAWriter on Fri Apr 24, 2009 7:31 pm

Anyone know where I could purchase those "Danish" looking espresso cups?
Not tulip shaped. Wish I had a picture.
I believe they probably hold about 1.5 oz, though looks can be deceiving. They really get narrow towards the bottom.
I'm SURE the quality of the espresso poured by these marvelous baristi had something to do with my Jones-ing for these cups.

Hi Rob! I'm sorry I missed you at the WBC. We may have crossed paths and not even known it.
I remember one of the announcers thanking ACF for providing the espresso cups for the WBC bar, but I don't remember the exact shape of them. I searched and found this link: http://www.alibaba.com/product-fr...orcelain_Cups.html Are these the ones?

James, I believe those are the very same, though they look bigger in the pix.
Don't need a 1000 right now
4 would do. And 4 of those lovely 5-6oz cappa cups and saucers. The drinks were tremendously good. What a way to start the morning.

Rob,
Did they have "Visions" printed in red on the side of them?
To all those don't have a silver spoon in their mouth, it's okay. Rusty forks get the job done too.

I don't believe so. I think they were plain. It's been a year.
I have a feeling it would more than a cool espresso cup to equalize the playing field between those awesome baristi and myself!

ACF Model 506

http://www.acf.it/

Edit; added- Hard to get without branding. Model 46 very similar in use and easier to buy.

Wow, thanks both of you.
The model 12 ACF is pretty much what I think I want.

I'll Google for US location, you think?

When looking for ACF cups, Sebastian at Great Infusions has always been helpful to me; often, if its not a model he carries, he's been able to point me in the direction of someone who does.

I perused their site about an hour ago.
I may do as you say.
Thanks
