Perfect Espresso Cup Shape - Page 2

Postby michaelbenis on Wed Jun 23, 2010 4:45 am

I have all sorts, including glasses, but I keep going back to the ACF or d'Ancap ones.

Sometimes I'm amazed at the experimentation and creativity of the espresso pioneers.

But they hold the heat and absorb the heat right and let it cool nicely on the top - and they feel good in the hand.

But that's just my take....

I think the Bodum hollow glasses (beloved of You Tube crema porn videos) are awful, though. As sexy as they look, the double wall design simply insulates too well in my opinion, and the espresso cools too slowly.

Cheers

But they are super for other festive beverages. I have the 3, 6, and 9? ounce ones for various festive beverages. They keep your cool stuff cool for a very long time on a hot day. Do not like them for coffee.

+1.

I have the 3 oz. and 9 oz. Pavina. The 3 oz. is perfect for small sipping cordials and (gasp) scotch/whisky/whiskey neat, with a splash, or with a small cube of ice. The 9 oz. is my go-to for margaritas. I may investigate the 6 oz. for Manhattans and Martinis.
