14 bar? The ULKA vibratory pump can't produce pressure that high at espresso flow rates:

I just measured the brew pressure on my Elektra Semiautomatica with a Scace II: 11.4 bar. Vibratory pump noise is minimal; it's the components around the pump rattling that makes the noise. See Eliminating noise from vibration for tips.

Hi SID - there are lots of great threads on this site to help understand the role of the opv in brewing with a vibe pump. To brew a double in 20-30 seconds with a machine with no opv means that the vibe is probably working around 8-10 bar. Of course, boiler refills, cleaning the brew screen, etc. would not be operating the vibe pump at its limit either. Singles and ristrettos would push the pump to higher pressures.

Here's a link to start, if you are interested:

A shot with a vibe pump around 8-9 bar without OPV, in general, is under-extracted espresso for me.

In my short experience, with the Oscar without OPV, I get more than 10 bar for double shots and near 12 to ristrettos. I think a single ristretto should reach 13 bar...

Thanks Mark, and thanks for the nice video!
The shot probably a tad on the quick side.
You really captured the machine's sounds nicely! :)
