JUST FYI...Also posted this on CoffeeGeek:

I just purchased a 2007 Bunn G3 on ebay for $290. This grinder should not need new burrs. The pictures were good resolution and the grinder appears to be like new. The seller had 100% feedback with about 200 sales. It will be interesting to see how the seller packages it for shipping. With any luck, it will arrive undamaged.

I will make another post after I've received it and run a few pounds of beans through it.

As promised, I'm posting back here now that I've receive the Bunn G3 grinder that I ordered from Ebay. It's awesome. I was very fortunate to get one that looks good and runs good. It's a recent enough model that I don't need to replace the burrs. Our coffee club at work is going to be so much better now. (Also posted at CoffeeGeek).

Thanks for such a great forum and thanks for the excellent advice I've received here.

UPDATE: (Also posted at COFFEE GEEK): It's been 2-weeks since I started providing coffee that's not pre-ground from the store. The 50 members of my work coffee club are loving it. I try to grind a maximum of two to three days worth in advance. Ha! I know that to most of you that is ridiculously stale - but the people in my coffee club think I'm spoiling them. One guy today just gushed, "This coffee is SO good! It's like you are having it hand ground by virgin maidens." That made me laugh. I'm glad they are impressed. Now if only my wife was that easy to impress. Or, maybe she is - she married me. But that was a long, LONG time ago before she knew any better.

While the site policy doesn't explicitly forbid cross-posting, the terms & conditions state it is strongly discouraged. There are noteworthy exceptions for "rare item" searches and topics of widespread interest that may benefit from additional exposure. Since your topic doesn't meet any of these criteria, I am closing this thread. Those who are interested in reading more are welcome to continue the discussion on CoffeeGeek. Thanks for your understanding.
