Need 220v grinder in Kazakhstan

Postby nau on Fri Dec 18, 2009 2:51 pm

Hello from Kazakhstan!

I have Gaggia Carezza which provide good enough shots using grounds from coffee shop. I have also Krups GVX which i don't use because of poor grind quality.

so i think to buy new grinder for my setup. The main problem - first i can't buy locally only online (it's tea country and best option is Krups) and second is voltage - we have 220V. As i know from this forum, Baratza Vario would be good choice for me, but i couldnt find any 220v version online. I had found Rancilio Rocky online from Italy which is 220v but what will be better idea? Is Rocky worst than Vario?

is there any chance to get 220v Baratza online?

Shipping might be the biggest problem. You might want to see if some of the European venders are willing to ship to you. Or perhaps the Russian distributor. It's known as the Mahlkoenig Vario Home in Europe.

Hi,

It looks to me that at least some of the online shops do ship to Kazakhstan. For example: Espresso Service West and Coffeehit. I do not know what kind of electrical plug you have in Kazakhstan, but I assume ESW delivers with the EU plug by default while Coffeehit might provide UK plug unless requested otherwise.
