All the cracks are similar in shape and in location, which suggests to me either that some sort of stress is being transferred to the mini hoppers, which exceeds the strength of the plastic in this area, that the fabrication of the plastic mini-hoppers is flawed in some way, or that both of the above are true.
I don't think this is limited to the mini hoppers. I'm on my second regular sized hopper for my WBC and it's cracked -- just like the first one. The crack doesn't seem to be getting any bigger, so I'm just living with it for now.
On a K10 PB/WBC, what should the outer diameter for an alternate hopper be where it inserts in the throat if one were to look for an option other than the mini one that some have had crack? (I assume this is the grinder's throat's inner diameter minus a tiny bit).
On the SJ a standard canning funnel works perfectly, but I think the throat on the K10 is supposed to be smaller.

For what it's worth, I've had three K10 grinders (one for evaluation, two purchased a year+ later). The hopper on the first one cracked as I noted in Solution to cracking Compak K10 mini hopper? The other two have the mini hoppers and (so far?) show no signs of cracking.
