I plan to move up to an Alexia PID from ChrisCoffee

they have been very very helpful for far on the phone.

Ive read every thread I could find here re clumps/cleaning/adjusting

of note: I became very interested in the MACP electronic doserless, which began in a thread thats now quite old.

I also noticed as far as I can see the ChrisCoffee does not seem to cary it. of course it the Holiday Weekend  and I cant talk to them about it

does anyone know if there were problems w the MACAP electronic doserless?

maybe the electronics were not durable or something?

many thanks

I've also read a lot of negative comments about very clumpy grinds. I recall one poster who called chriscoffee about this some time after buying the grinder from them, and was told they'd stopped selling it because they received so many complaints about clumping.

You're thinking of 1 year of wishing I'd not bought a Macap M4D.

Macap M4 Electronic Doserless vs. Mazzer Mini E Espresso Grinder looks over the grinder in more detail. An obvious successor to the Macap M4 Electronic is the Baratza Vario, which has very little clumping and no ground retention.
