^ go with the Rocket, add a brew-head adapter and never look back! The new rocket is a real sweet-heart I bet(never used one). Rotary pump, plumb-in option, e61, beautiful... If you put that adapter on it, your worries about (temp?) inconsistency would be gone. At that price range - you're not gonna get a lemon - so get the one you want!

As the owner of both a DB & HX, both equipped with PID AND thermometer adapters, if it's consistency with the least effort, go for the DB.

I went with the Rocket but Ian is probably right about the "less fuss" factor of the DB. I love my new Evo but it's taking me some time to fully understand her temp characteristics, even with Eric's adapter. I like that though. Learning the art.
