La Marzocco GS/3 models - AV versus MP - Page 2

Postby parksie on Mon Nov 14, 2011 3:00 pm

Hi All,

Thanks for your help. After much deliberation I have now ordered a GS/3 MP which will be plumbed in (to a water bottle/pump/accumulator).

I now need to decide on a grinder to match. A Super Jolly / Robur / K10 WBC ? I will be single dosing so this may rule out the Robur unless I modify a doser version or accept a lot of coffee will be wasted ?

Finally EricC (as you are UK based) can you suggest a good Espresso Blend to practice with when I get the GS/3. What temperature and pre infusion time do you recommend.

Thanks Again

Congratulations Keith,

You can't go wrong with either though I see the same as myself you have gone for the MP, far more tactile.

You need a Super Jolly as a minimum, I have both the Versalab M3, and a Mazzer Kony Electronic for when I have more than a couple of guests.

At the moment I am drinking SquareMile Coffee Roasters, Red Brick Espresso blend.

The brew parameters are shown on the link above.

All the Best
