Thanks for the heads up on the thermometer adapter, HB. I have had my machines for about 2 weeks now and it's not going as well as I thought it would, even with all the youtube watching and referencing this site to try to diagnose where I'm making mistakes. Is installing the adapter anywhere near as hard as learning how to pull shots? I'm having a really rough go of this.

Installing the adapter is easier. :) (Only way to really screw up is to remove the therm from the adapter before installing, then realizing that eric had pre-set it after installing...not that I did that or anything.)

Installing the adaptor is very easy. Really, you pretty much just unscrew the screw in the group head, screw in the adaptor, and install the thermometer to the right depth. Done.

Sorry you're not getting good results yet. What kinds of problems are you having, specifically? If you can describe what's going on, we can probably give you some pointers on what you might need to do to improve your results.
