Anybody have a good recommendation for a book to read about coffee roasting?

I would like recommendations for both technical/scientific and nontechnical/nonscientific.

Thanks,
Blake

Ken David's and Scott Rao's books ought to take care of those requirements quite well.

Spend some time in the roasting forum here. In fact, do a search on books here. One of the interesting results I found was a comment by one of the roasters I have a lot of respect for. He says most of what he learned, he learned in the roasting forum. I agree with that. There's an awful lot of good information here. The books already recommended are good. I have them. But seldom refer to them. Instead, when I have a question, I check it out here. Also, there's a wealth of information on roasting at the Sweet Maria's web site.

I've gained tons of info here...Scott Rao's book helped pull a lot of that together for easy reference...It's been the single best tool for my roasting progress so far.
