Flat vs convex tamper

hello guys,
as you may know, im new to all the espresso world.
Its very hard to get some guidance where i live, so i hope you guys can help me out.

I just bought an Aurelia Plus Machine.

now, im hunting for a tamper... Im between the flat and the convex one.

which one should i get? whats the difference between them? (not the shape :p but on the results i will get with each)

I think there are all the answers... so, thanx for reading!

..im getting the convex one, even if it makes little to no difference! (for those who dont want to read the whole post)

While I don't believe the difference is major, my convex tamper does seem to give me somewhat better results than my flat tamper when there is trouble with a particular roast. Good luck on your purchase.
