First Illy Collection cup... am I paying too much?

Postby workinghard on Sun Feb 28, 2010 7:11 pm

Trying to see if I am paying to much for future purchases.

Hey guys. Well, even if this first was too much I dont care for this first time. I have hit up every thrift store, estate sale, anything I can and have never found the patented circle finger thing....lol, whatever you call that.

I finally found one, and it has cost me, total 21.58 for Rome world cup with Tokyo saucer. It doesnt have any box, any other cups, just the rome cup with tokyo saucer, but it seems to be in pretty solid condition. It is signed of course, and is marked as cup 21245. But, now that I have my first, I need to find out if I am paying too much. I can not afford a nice whole set for...200, 300 plus. But if I pick up some individual cups at 15-25 bucks (I just want a few, some "weekend" cups, so to speak.) Is that going to be too much? If so...then I will just hold out for better deals in the future, now that I have my first. Let me know if I am spending too much!

Spend as much as you feel comfortable with. $21.58 is a good price as long as you are happy. I bought a Fossile (cup only) for $75. Is it worth that? To me, yes...in fact, I'd have paid much more because I have been looking for one for over 2 years and really didn't want to pay the $275 price for the ones on eBay. I wanted one I wouldn't feel bad about using on occassion.
