Wow, $200 is a lot less than my quoted 350. Do they take phone orders and ship to GA?

The retailer is Dong Vinh Restaurant Equip & Supplies, on Monterey Rd. between Curtner and Stauffer.

The head unit is $75 and the M filter $120. A bit on the expensive side but if it works as expected it will be about the same as the Crystal Geyser gallon bottles I use (based on a years worth of use). Hopefully if the Claris catches on, filter prices will go down.

So ... my turn for Guinea Pig mode. You're certainly welcome to stop by, check it out, run some tests, etc. And I do want to check out your T1 someday!

That seems reasonable to me! Having spent so much time and effort rebuilding descaling my T1, $ spent toward a proper water supply seem well spent.

You are welcome to come by and pull some shots with my T1, however it's sitting on the floor in my bedroom right now. At least the drywall is done, I believe it gets sanded and painted today. Which means upper cabinets this week!!!! Lower cabinet and templates for the granite next week.

Hi Mark,

Not sure, but I just got another e-mail from WPD, the Everpure distributor. There is another retailer to try:

Keystone Restaurant Supply
491 W San Carlos St
San Jose, CA 95110-2632
(408) 288-4000

WPD is saying:
EV4339-23 - 2 - 3 weeks lead time
EV4339-11 - WPD stock

FWI - the list price of the L filter is $150

Cool, thanks George. The prices I got quoted were from this master distributor so I believe she said it had to be sold at MSRP, and she even told me it'd be expensive. the Head was the EV4339-23 at $128.57 (and on backorder as well) and the medium filter was the EV4339-11 at $221.42, which was in stock. Seems to be right in line with what your distributor is saying.

I wonder if the distributor has the same MSRP pricing or not.

Hi Mark,

Kitchen upgrade sounds like a dream come true! I'm guessing this means your T1 will be running at full power? :D

Thanks for the invite!

Mark,

That's a big difference in price. I hope they didn't mis-quote my order or quote the wrong item! :(

I'm sure you're fine. I'm sure my prices are MSRP or something. Maybe Roy can chime in at this point?

Mark,

I did pick up the Claris head/filter units on Monday.

Won't get to installation and testing until this weekend at the earliest. I'm taking vacation next week to tackle some of my many queued projects and I'll definitely put aside some time for my espresso 'hobby'!
