I have a 2006 build A3 (hard to believe I have had it that long) and it has chrome finished plastic feet. You may want to drop Stefano a PM and see if he can give you a definite answer.

From Buyer's Guide to the Elektra A3: "The original (left) leaves 2-1/2 inches of clearance and the shorter version (right) a mere 3/4 inches, allowing the A3 to easily fit under standard kitchen cabinets."
