Do you use the Mypressi TWIST as your primary espresso machine? - Page 4

Very cool stand!

I tried searching for the Ambient show and Mypressi, but couldn't find any details of the accessories. Guess we will have to wait until Stephen is back.

Hi all, I'd like to share my daily routine of making a cup of cappuccino using mypressi twist which is my primary espresso machine at home. Hope you enjoy the video.

That is a very interesting steamer. Where did you get it?

I collected several early 80's electric coffee pots from Ebay. Those work great for Mypressi Twist. Not only texturing milk but also steaming the water to the right temperature.

I can change the N2O cartridge with one hand,
in the middle of the shot. 8)

We did show some information at Ambiente, but we have pushed back the disclosure date due to IP reasons so I'm sorry but I can't release any more information just yet. If we can make the timing work we'll have prototypes at SCAA in Houston.

That is a great video. I'm trying to film one right now and yours is going to be the standard I compare mine to.

Well, I finally made a short video but didn't like the way the lighting came out, specifically the colors were too bright, and I didn't get to see the tiger-striping in the extraction, but will have to save all that for another time.
By the way, after 2 months I'm still loving the mypressi TWIST!

I finished making a case for my Twist here and am happy with it so far. It's pretty small so just the essentials (not even a cup) but I have more foam sheets in case I want to change the layout.

Today I was pulling some nice Panama Elida and the shot slowed to drips right after the mouse tail started to form... running low on gas. I quickly changed the canister and picked up where it left off and I was surprised by the shot. It had great crema and sweetness but tasted a bit watery, I think the accidental pre-infusion/interrupted shot really affected the flavor. It looks like something that could have potential.

Has anyone tried intentional pre-infusion with their Twist? How?

BTW, I stopped by a smoke shop—a place I'd call a "head shop"—at lunch today next to the restaurant I went to and they were selling 50 cream chargers for $20 or 24 for $10 which seemed like a great price. I was in a hurry so I didn't check on the brand or the quality, but I may have to keep this in mind when I run low.
