Considering switch from super-auto to semi-auto espresso machine - Page 4

Well maybe I'm the exception and not the norm. Probably the way my luck is going this week.

But pick up the phone? That's too old school...LOL. Kidding aside, I usually do just that, but want to actually see a picture of the stuff and see product specs and description. I have found mixed results talking to sales folks and it isn't very often you speak to an installer or tech person anymore.

No problem though, I'll figure it out.

Doesn't Seattle Coffee Gear "partner" in some way with Chris' Coffee? I think I read somewhere that they do.

Gail and Kat have a well earned rep in the Seattle area. Not as well known as the fine folks at Chris', but maybe the proximity alone makes sense for the OP. They have some charming albeit homey vids on YouTube, too.

I have always had great service from Chris and company, but small potatoes compared to mdrew.

You are correct, Chris' Coffee is a US importer for Quickmill and Seattle Coffee Gear is one of their distributors.

Well it seems as if Mary is at the whim of the email eater. She emailed me to let me know that she got the order from SCG and wanted to let me know that she did in fact email me earlier this morning with more information. Sadly, I did not get her email. I just hope she didn't lose a commission as she is the one who sold me on the machine.... But, Chris is the distributor for every Version II Vivaldi machine so they still get some of my money.

Just figured it was worth closing the loop on this. Don't want anyone second guessing Chris' Coffee from this mishap. Now I just wait for the new toys.

Thanks to everyone who put up with my dumb questions and assisting me with this decision. You're good people.
