I personally own an Compaq K3 and thoroughly enjoy using it. Although I have the timerless version. Very good grinder and if you look online the grind quality has been said to be comparable to a mazzer mini, for quite a bit less money.

I have a I-roast I bought used and a Stainless Whirly-popper from Sweet Marias. I have also tried their Decaf Donkey blend and the I-roast can't seem to produce a good batch (I think I blew it up tonight!) I've had some luck with the Whirly running @ 390 degrees start-up and going 15 seconds past second snap/crack. I'm hoping a K-3, Macap or whatever i end up with would extract a better brew from these beans than my Maestro....
