Budget $650 or less: Suggest an espresso machine with volumetric dosing

Postby wecksell on Sun Nov 20, 2011 12:45 pm

I'm looking to replace a Gaggia Espresso Dose with something a bit better that'll take a bit more use and abuse. (And give me a bit more temperature stability.)

Can someone please recommend a sub $650 machine (ie, Rancilio Silvia or less in price) that has a dosing function? I've come to enjoy hitting the button, and knowing that no matter what my three small kids do, break, or cry out, in the next twenty five seconds, I'll only brew 2 ounces.

Thank you.

The Crossland CC1 is very close - retails for $699 shipped with the features you value.

Gaggia Baby also has volumetric buttons, and usually sells for under $500. The Crossland looks nicer though.
Lock and load!
