Good question - is there a difference? We think so. We carried ACF (FAC SpA, Italy) for while, as well as Nuova Point (also Italy), and found that they had more cosmetic flaws than we wanted to deal with.
Then we found, accidently, that some of them were being made in China - knock offs (the Nuova Point, not the ACF). No idea who was responsible for the knock offs - they were marked with the company logo on the bottom, the design was slightly different, and only the master case was marked China - we seldom ever received cups in the original master case, and if we had not we wouldn't have even known they were made in China! The cups were not marked with country of origin, only the NP logo, and the 6 pack boxes were not marked with country of origin either, ONLY the master case showed it. Ironically, the China NP cups had better quality control - fewer flaws, but they were NOT made in Italy.
We now carry Inker cups. There are occasionally cosmetic flaws, but far fewer than we found with ACF (these are restaurant grade cups, not fine dinnerware, but you should still get a good cup when you buy it, not one that is all scratched up, or chipped & broken!). They are well made, sturdy, and hold up well over time. Inker has been supplying the restaurant trade in Europe for many years. One of the differences, in our opinion, is that Inker owns their clay pits, and it's good quality clay - that is the basis for any good quality cup! That, and quality control.
If you are looking for the extremely thick walled, weighs a ton cup, Inker doesn't make one, but if you looking for a very good espresso/cappuccino cup, with good thermal stability, Inker does make those!
